15 minutes consultation
No obligation, no charge
What's included
- A free, no-obligation 15 minutes consultation before you commit to anything
- A full assessment (usually 1 to 2 sessions) to build an accurate picture together
- Structured weekly sessions using techniques with a strong evidence base
- Periodic outcome tracking (PHQ-9 / GAD-7) so progress is visible, not assumed
- A relapse prevention plan built into the final sessions, not an abrupt end
If, after assessment, it becomes clear the extended 15–20 sessions option is a better fit than the standard 12 sessions, we'll have that conversation honestly and you'll decide together with me, not be moved onto it by default.
Fees & payment questions
How much does a session cost?
Each 50-minute session is £65, paid per session or by agreement in advance for a block. There are no hidden fees or extra charges for things like the initial assessment.
How long is the treatment programme?
Most clients work within a structured 12 sessions programme. If your assessment points to something more complex, we can agree together to extend to 15–20 sessions. You'll never be moved onto a longer programme without an honest conversation about why first.
Is the free consultation really free?
Yes. The 15 minutes consultation is a no-obligation call to talk through what's going on and check whether working together feels right, for both of us. There's no charge and no pressure to book afterwards.
How do I pay?
Payment details (bank transfer or card, depending on what's easiest for you) are confirmed once you book your assessment. Payment is taken before each session, or by prior agreement for a block of sessions.
What's your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or rearrange a session without charge. I understand things come up unexpectedly, and I'd rather you tell me honestly than not show up, so if something genuinely urgent happens, get in touch and we'll sort it out.
Do you offer reduced fees?
If cost is a genuine barrier to starting therapy, get in touch and let me know; I hold a small number of reduced-fee spaces where I can, though availability varies. It's always worth asking.
Can I use health insurance?
Some private health insurers cover CBT with an accredited therapist. Check directly with your provider using my BABCP registration details, which I'm happy to share, and I can provide invoices formatted for insurance claims on request.
