Sessions

Sessions are 50 minutes and take place via video call. Payment is due before each session unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Getting started

You'll need to be registered with a UK-based GP practice before we start working together, unless we've discussed and agreed otherwise. This gives you a point of contact for your physical and mental health care outside of our sessions.

Cancellations and rearranging

Please give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or rearrange a session, so the time can be offered to someone else. Cancellations made 24 to 48 hours before a session are charged at 50% of the session fee. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or if you don't attend, are charged in full. Genuine emergencies are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Scope of service

Pamoyo Therapy provides structured CBT, adapted with other evidence-based approaches where helpful, delivered by Panashe Foromani, a BABCP-Accredited CBT Therapist. This is not a crisis or emergency service, and email isn't monitored continuously, so it shouldn't be used to reach out in an emergency. If you are in immediate danger, call 999. For urgent support that isn't life-threatening, contact NHS 111, your Local Crisis Team, or Samaritans on 116 123.

Confidentiality

What's discussed in sessions is confidential, in line with BABCP ethical guidelines and our Privacy Policy. The exceptions are: if there's a risk of harm to you or someone else, if there are safeguarding concerns involving a child or vulnerable adult, or if disclosure is required by law, for example in relation to terrorism or other illegal activity. Where possible, this would be discussed with you first.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with any aspect of your therapy, please raise it with us directly in the first instance, so we have the chance to put things right. If it isn't resolved to your satisfaction, you can raise a concern with the BABCP , our accrediting body.

Website use

Content on this website, including worksheets and blog posts, is for general psychoeducational purposes and isn't a substitute for personalised clinical assessment or treatment.
